The Heart of America Library is excited to announce that past issues of The Pierce County Tribune are now available to search on the website https://rugbynd.advantage-preservation.com/
The Heart of America Library received a Local History grant of $10,000 in November 2021 through the North Dakota State Library Vision grant program. Former library director Vicki Hoffart applied for the grant. The State Historical Society of North Dakota preserves all North Dakota newspapers on microfilm. They work with Advantage Preservation to digitize these papers, which are then accessible to search on the internet. The grant funds were used to digitize the Pierce County Tribune, The Rugby Optimist, and the Pierce County Globe. The link to the website is also accessible through the Heart of America Library’s website. On the homepage, under links, click on “Advantage Preservation – Pierce County Newspapers.”
Upcoming Story Hours will be Friday April 29 from 10:15 – 11:15 am. If you have children five years of age or younger, they are welcome to attend. Children 3 or under must be attended by an adult.
