The Heart of America Library is thankful for the following memorials received in October:
- In memory of Elizabeth “Betty” Larson by Orvin & Bev Blekeberg
- In memory of Rodney Solem by Jodi & Wayne Miiller
- In memory of Laura Rendahl by Betty Triplett
The library will be closed on Friday, November 11 to observe Veteran’s Day. Thank you to our service men and women and their families, who sacrifice so much to keep our country safe and strong.
Food for Fines will be held November 1-30. The Heart of America Library will remove overdue fines for patrons if they bring in a non-perishable food item that has not expired, packaging is not damaged and has not been opened. A can or box of food equals one fine waived, and cannot be used for books that are lost, damaged or need to be replaced. All food items will be donated to the Pierce County Food Pantry. Everyone is welcome to donate items.
The Board of Trustees of the Heart of America Library will hold their next meeting Monday, November 14 at 9 AM in the West Room of the Heart of America Library.
The next story hour will be Friday, November 18 from 10:15 to 11:15 AM. All children 5 and under are welcome! We do ask that children 3 or under be attended by an adult.
