Did you know about the great resources available on the library’s website? One resource is Mango Languages. There are over 70 languages available to learn: Spanish, Norwegian, Modern Greek, Hebrew just to name a few. You can even learn to speak Pirate! Go on the Heart of America Library’s website rugbyndlibrary.com, scroll down to the list of links, and find Mango Languages. You can sign up for an account or you can use as a guest. Signing up for an account will allow you to save your progress. All you need is an email and your library card number. The self paced lessons are easy to follow. You will hear and see words and phrases and then have the chance to repeat. Grammar notes and culture notes explain the meaning behind phrases. The tools feature allows you to translate words and phrases from one language to another. If you are interested and need help getting started, contact Jackie at the library and I can help you out.
