Library News February 11, 2022

February is “I Love to Read” Month!  Stop by and write the title of a book you love on a paper heart and hang it in the window.  Share your love of reading with Heart of America Library community!

The next Story Hour is Friday, February 25, from 10:15 – 11:15 am.  If you have children five years of age or younger, they are welcome to attend. Children 3 or under must be attended by an adult.

More Large Print titles are arriving thanks to the North Dakota State Library Vision Grant that we received in November.  One new title is “The Hope Chest” by Carolyn Brown.  The book description reads “A grandmother’s loving bequest changes three lives forever in a heartwarming novel about finding love, hope, and family.  An inheritance has reunited three estranged cousins. Their grandmother Lucy left Nessa, Flynn, and April her home nestled in the woods near Blossom, Texas, as well as a hope chest to be unlocked after they complete a special task. Together, they must hand-stitch a cherished quilt Lucy left unfinished. It meant everything to her.  Thread by healing thread, Nessa, Flynn, and April bond over the quilt and all it represents. As they discover the family they’ve been looking for in one another, they share more than memories. They share the hope of new beginnings.”

Other new titles in Large Print are:  “The Cryptographer’s Dilemma”  by Johnnie Alexander, “The Healing of Natalie Curtis” by Jane Kirkpatrick, “Venice Sketchbook” by Rhys Brown, “The Island” by Ben Coes, “The Midnight Lock” by Jeffery Deaver, and “Home Sweet Tiny Home” by Melody Carlson.

The next book club is Tuesday, March 1 at 10 AM.  The book is “Carnegie’s Maid” by Marie Benedict. Stop by to pick up a copy if you are interested.
